Maria Bauman Takes Peridance

If you enjoy witnessing the offerings of the powerfully talented Maria Bauman, here is an opportunity to learn some modern techniques directly from her!
Maria Bauman (MBDance) creates duets and small group dances from a sense of physical and emotional power, a desire for equity, and a fascination with intimacy and relationships. She frequently employs both linear and circular narrative, in addition to other devices, as means of drawing in the viewer to tackle issues such as racialized police brutality or love between women. Bauman’s extensive study of capoeira also informs her choreography.
