Crawlspace is about an interracial relationship between two women from the south, transplanted to a broken down haunted New York city ten years from now, in an America grappling with ghosts of a not so distant past and the consequences they have wrought us physically, psychologically and preternaturally. A southern gothic noire and political thriller, it’s at once deeply personal as well as political.
J oin Nursha Project Artist, Moira Cutler , for a sneak peak look at Crawlspace and a night of food, song, dance and informal conversation about the play. This reading and benefit party will feature a tasting menu sampling flavors from New York City, New Orleans, and South Carolina. The chef will provide ethnic flavors of Jewish, Japanese, Cajun and Southern cuisine in a uniquely New Yorkean patois of the palate.

The Asshole Differential Continues (& we carry on) , a political satire and thriller that incorporates various art forms, including manga, karaoke, podcasts, and sock puppets, is the story of three prisoners, Monkey, Dog and Banana, who are incarcerated indefinitely on a boat moored in an unknown sea. They are held in captivity without charge of any specific crimes and engage in power games with the closeted guard in an attempt to survive and eventually escape.
The Asshole Differential Continues (& we carry on) explores the attitudes that underlie prison torture and the sexuality and violence inherent in the fraternity initiation rights of organizations like Skull and Bones. In the age of family values and sex scandals amidst the righteous, of Guantanamo, and black sites, The Asshole Differential Continues (& we carry on) examines the intersection between the repressed desires of the powerful elite and the banality of torture in prison where abuse is part of the vernacular.

What can you say about Micia Mosely?
In May of 2006, Micia joined forces with Nursha Project TM and debuted her one-woman show, “Where My Girls At?: A Comedic Look at Black Lesbians .”
Micia Mosely has been an entertainer her whole life. She fuses a unique blend of hipness, humor, political astuteness, and versatility in all of her performances.
During the past 10 years, she has displayed her perfect comedic timing through stand up and as an emcee for numerous events throughout the nation.
Micia’s desire to surpass the boundaries of the ordinary led to her create “Sistahfriends: A Black Lesbian Puppet Experience” and to co-found Nappy Grooves, an all-Black drag king troupe.
