Don’t miss a wonderful opportunity to view YaYa Dreams A Future: A Live Installation featured at Summerstage this Friday! Sharing the stage with Akim Funk Buddha’s Flying Boombox, this will be an evening to remember. YaYa Dreams A Future implores you to look through the eyes of a 5 year old as he dares to imagine the future. It was inspired by a series of organic paintings by Delano Franklin. Directed and choreographed by Maijia Garcia, this live installation will take the audience through a dream sequence with a live soundscape arranged by composers Monk Washington and Hamilton Harris. Movement artists include:
- Dwayne Brown
- Maijia Garcia
- Shaneeka Harrell
- Julia Kobceva
- Kafi Pierre
- Marcus White
Costume designs by Anjia Jalac and lighting design by Xavier Pierce are sure to add elements to this work that you won’t see anywhere else. Join in as these amazing artists embody the infinite possibilities of YaYa’s imagination.
